Becomes a Workplace Issue"
Presented by: Marina Guerra, Outreach & Educational Coordinator

Social media has changed the way employees communicate and the way harassment shows up in the workplace. From viral posts, group chats, and off duty conduct, HR professionals are navigating situations that might begin outside the office but can quickly impact it.
In this session we will explore when online and off duty conduct may trigger employer obligations and discuss practical strategies of responding effectively to mitigate risk.
Participant Learning Objectives:
- Discover how social media harassment and online conduct may intersect with EEOC compliance
- Realize when off-duty or online behavior may be an employer’s responsibility to address and resolve
- Understand employer obligations once they become aware of harassment in the workplace
