Employee compensation is more complicated than ever before, with a new overtime regulation, increase in pay equity litigation, and a never ending wave of class actions.

“With so many variables in play, what do employers need to know?”

This session will identify common mistakes to avoid, and the best practices to evade litigation.  

Participant Learning Objectives:

●  Examine new legislative & regulatory developments impacting employee pay practices

●  Discuss the new DOL overtime rule and pay equity

●  Evaluate common “off the clock” claims and trends in class action litigation

●  Explore duties tests for overtime exemptions & identify common misclassification mistakes

harassment, collective action overtime claims, and whistle-blower suits.
