The Employment Lawyer’s Guide to Welcoming a Gen Z Workforce

Program 2 - MC-SHRM General Meeting   3:45*PM-5:00PM (*Registration 3:45PM-3:50PM)

Presented by:  Haley E. Kurisky, Attorney - Jackson Lewis P.C.

As the next generation of employees - lovingly referred to as “Gen Z” - enters the workforce, employers are expected to adjust the workplace to accommodate the increasing demands of newer, younger workers.

In this presentation, you will hear - straight from the mouth of a Millennial! - what you can do to create a workplace that is friendly and enticing to Gen Z workers, how to recruit good Gen Z employees, what is important to Gen Z, and how you can be the place where Gen Z brings their talents, all while learning the legal implications and tools to do so.

Participant Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the statistics behind the changing workforce and employee wish lists
  • Assess how to implement employment law-focused strategies to attract Gen Z workers
  • Strategize ways to make employer-based changes to best accommodate changing employee viewpoints, including trends on the EEOC level
