The legislative process has been anything but normal throughout this pandemic time.

Face to face visits have been nearly impossible.  Meanwhile, legislative actions happening at the congressional level during the 2021 Texas legislative session have kept advocates on their toes.  

Are you prepared for legislation that could impact your job as a human resource professional? 
This session is intended to engage and inform attendees for pending legislative outcomes.  HR professionals will be encouraged and equipped with tools to become an advocate.

Pam Bratton has always worked in fast-paced environments. Her first job operating a surfboard stand on Surfside Beach, Texas prepared her for working with a diverse group of people and for her current role as Vice President of Contracts & Compliance for Meador Staffing Services. Pam entered Human Resources in 1974 with Fluor Engineering in Houston, Texas and entered the staffing industry in 1976, as a recruiter in California. Her career has led her into many phases of the business, from sales and operations to executive management .

Pam Bratton serves as Co-Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy for Texas SHRM (The State Council of Texas). She serves as Vice-Chair of the Texas –American Staffing Association PAC Board, Executive Committee for the Alliance for Securing and Strengthening the Economy in Texas, and on the Executive Board of the Texas Association of Business. She maintains an active role in monitoring regulatory and legislative actions. When there is an issue that affects HR or staffing, you’ll likely find Pam at the Texas Capital spreading the word about how it impacts jobs for Texans pain.
